Kosovo police have initiated a case against a man in Petrova Shtime after shooting guns at a family party.
Authorities announced Monday that 53-year-old with initials J.R. has accepted the use of a firearm on December 26th and has then handed over the gun to the police station.
The case has been initiated as “the use of dangerous weapons or tool” and “ownership, control or unauthorized possession of weapons”.
“With the date 06.01.2025 station police in Shtime have admitted to a tip that in the village of Petrova, one person had fired at a family party. Police investigators under state prosecutor's authorisation have launched investigations and have managed to identify suspect J. R (M/K), aged 53, who was invited to the police station in Shtime. The suspect admitted that by the date 26.12.2024 he used the firearm, which he later handed over. The state prosecutor's decision has been released for regular investigative procedure, while the firearm (gun) <x2) has been seized as material evidence, the police report said.
