KFOR Mission Commander Major General ãozkan Ulitaş met today with EU Ambassador to Kosovo Tomás Szunyog, ambassadors of EU member states and EULEX mission chief Major General Giovanni Pietro Barbano.

According to KFOR's announcement, they exchanged opinions on a series of topics, including KFOR activities under its mandate at the UN, as well as KFOR's co-operation with Kosovo Police and EULEX, and its continued security efforts in supporting EU-brokered dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.

Furthermore, Ulutaş stressed KFOR's steadfast commitment to supporting all efforts by the International Community, in behalf of sustainable security throughout Kosovo and regional stability.

“KFOR continues to implement its mandate, based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 to provide a safe and secure environment for all communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement at any time and impartially”, the report notes.

KFOR is the third security reacter, behind the Kosovo Police and the EU's mission to rule of Law (EULEX), with which we work in close co-ordination, respectively.
