MP from the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Xhavit Haliti, has reacted after the US senior official Gabriel Escobar's statement, where he said the United States is concerned about the fact that the Kosovo government is not treating them as partners and are not working for regional security.
According to MP Haliti, Kurti must take seriously the remarks made by Kosovo partners.
Kosovo has the biggest partner and friend of the United States, but advancing politicians who do not build long-term and clear political strategies have apparently hurt the confidence and reports built with wrestling and blood on the US. Kosovo's prime minister should take very seriously the remarks made by our strategic partners and change the political course in relation to regional dialogue and security”, Haliti said.
The MP stresses that we should be concerned by international partners' statements, where he adds that these are not statements by any political analyst.
“Declarations of representatives of the US Government and President are not statements by any political analyst paid to manipulate the electorate, but stem from state policy, so we should all be concerned about the political course of the Kosovo government and its political exhibitors who occasionally make actions and unthinking statements and contrary to what is the US strategy of the EU, concerning the future of our region for joint integration into the EU”, he said.
He further says these remarks to Kosovo are being made due to the shortcomings and irresponsible mistakes of the government, rather than the opposition.
“Prime Minister Kurti must understand that he is not in the opposition, but is the first and foremost employee in the service of the state of Kosovo, of its citizens. Therefore, even remarks to Kosovo are made because of mistakes and mistakes and advanced and irresponsible actions of the government rather than the opposition. Apparently, the generation of young politicians have chosen to clash and disobey the West, politics that suits Kosovo's enemies, and mostly the Vuciqi regime. The declarations for constitutionality and international equality should be clear and tangible by Kosovo's friends and enemies, only then will we get the necessary support for Kosovo, both in politics, in economic development and for integration into international institutions”, Haliti for the Blic newspaper concluded.
