Albanian Post: At a meeting with Dejona Mihalin and Macedonia, there was also AKI Inspector General Kujtim Shala

On October 29, 2023, news had been published by media in Kosovo that Kosovo Defence Minister Ejup Macedonia has met in a restaurant with Dejona Mihail of Vetevendosje and the head of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency, Petit Ajetin, but Macedonia had denied being Ajeti at the meeting.

He's been asked again this Monday in the Parliamentary Commission who he met with that day, but he lied about the people, saying that besides Michael at the meeting there was a “my uncle and a friend”.

Albanian Post has understood from sources within AKI that the person Macedonia refers to as “shok” was less than AKI General Inspector Kujtim Shala.

Shala came to this position in December 2022, following Burim Ramadani's resignation. He was appointed by the president and prime minister of Kosovo.

Shala, as Albanian Post suggests, is a close friend of AKI Director Petrit Ajeti, who was also appointed by Vjosa Osmani and Albin Kurti in April 2021.

The AP has also understood the conversation between Mihali, Shala and Macedonia.

Albanian Post also learns from sources that Chief Inspector Shala, in deregulation with regulation and in co-ordination with Director Ajeti, has begun to do inspections of all procurements from the AKI foundation until they have come to key positions.

On the other hand, the AP also understands that a large number of Vetvendosje Movement militants and family members of this party have been employed in the latest competition in AKI.

The employment has largely been for the positions of field investigators.

Medium learns that Ajjet and Chief Inspector Shala have old recognitions and past friendships.

Macdoncic, questioned by the Parliamentary Commission for Meeting with Mihail, has at no time indicated that anyone else from institution officials was at the meeting, thus cheating under oath.

He even said the meeting was random with Mihail at a restaurant in the Germ.

Under Kosovo's laws, with the Penal Code, Article 391 “falsely sworn-in” condemns it until 3 years in prison. Under specific circumstances up to five years in prison.

According to the Kosovo Criminal Code, Article 391 “Anyone who after taking an oath with the competent body to administer testimony given under oath or vows and then signs the testimony under oath or declares something that does not believe to be true or knowingly concealed or avoid any relevant case for procedure, is fined or sentenced to prison for up to three (3) years”.

By the same code the sentence could go up to 5 years in prison if “Statement from paragraph 1. This article was given during the criminal procedure.”.
