The Central Election Commission (KQZ) has indicated that by December 20th 51 thousand and 440 applications have been approved, while 3 thousand and 388 have been rejected.
“in most rejected cases, applicants have not been photographed while holding the ID simultaneously. The CEC personally informs the rejected applicants of their refusal to request, as well as the possibility of re-applicating the census, by attaching the documents needed to meet their application in line with CEC guidelines”, the CEC announced.
According to this report, out of the 51 thousand and 440 approved applications, 12 thousand and 631 Kosovo citizens are registered to vote physically on diplomatic representation, 8 thousand and 5 are registered to send the ballot package to the CEC mailbox in Kosovo, and 30,000 and 804 are registered to send the package with ballot papers to the mailbox outside Kosovo.
The Central Election Commission encourages all Kosovo citizens living abroad to exploit their constitutional right to become part of the election process in the Republic of Kosovo, initially enrolling as voters outside Kosovo and later voting”.
