According to the prosecution's indictment, he is accused of misusing official duty along with all other members because they have not examined the apps that have so handed over to persons who have claimed that status. One thing is certain that the Commission, which has had the mandate from the Government, has after unable to complete its task as scheduled with the decision after being somewhere around 110 thousand applications in total, and which has had to be controlled by the Verifiency Commission”, says Esat Berisha, lawyer for the 1st.
And the trial process of “Veterians” has been closely followed by the IKD.
“During this retrial, we have seen a trial tried by Special Prosecutor Valdet Gashi, who at the last session shared all veterans' operative areas as the Special Prosecutor claimed they have failed to meet the criteria or conditions for having veteran status that, in total, included this number of 19 thousand and 500 veteran”, says Flamur Kabashi from IKbashi.
According to OVL-KLA chairman in Pec, it had to be prevented early from being abused, citing the fact that there are over 100,000 citizens of the Republic that have applied for veteran status.
The original “town has had to be prevented, from the start it has had to have criteria for all those citizens to have access to. And because of this problem that doesn't follow any censorship for any citizen of the Republic of Kosovo. The problem has started in its beginning since the first step of the announcement for application”, says Gazmend Syla, chairman of O VL-KLA in Pec.
