Meetings within the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, which eases the European Union, are taking place today in Brussels.
As the EU had earlier confirmed, these meetings are being realised at the level of chief negotiators.
Like previous times, the EU Special Representative's bilateral meetings for dialogue are first under way, Miroslav Lajcak, with Kosovo delegation chief Besnik Bislimi, and Serbia's Petar Petkov.
Later, about 1500, a joint trilateral meeting is expected.
According to sources from the European Union, a range of issues will be considered at these meetings, including implementation of the agreement on the road to normalisation.
The last meeting at this level within the EU-enlightened dialogue has been held on 23 October in Brussels. There have been no other meetings since.
According to EU diplomatic sources, Lajcak has already reported to representatives of member states on the situation with dialogue, and has said the parties have shown a clear lack of readiness and will to make any progress in implementing the agreement between the two countries.
Meanwhile, EU High Representative for Foreign Policy and Security Kaya Kallas has expressed readiness to engage actively in the dialogue process. / REL
