The teenager had been sent to the Durres regional hospital on Saturday, but because of her heavy condition, she has moved to Tirana, where she has passed away.

Meningitis is a rare infection that affects delicate membranes called meningages, which cover the brain and spinal cord.
Meningitis can cause blood poisoning, which is life threatening and result in permanent damage to the brain or nerves. The disease is contagious to doctors, so that no health condition is neglected.
