Thaci reacts after the court read his and Selim's statement allegedly responsible for the KLA communiqués was Basota

After consulting, Thaci's defense, represented by lawyer Luka Misethic, the judge was asked to read the entire transcript showing that Thaci had mentioned the word ésuposiʹ, reports “Justice Act“.

According to Judge Mettraux, Rexhep Selimi for SPS in 2019 had said that with communiquettes up to 97 was taken over by Nat Hasani and after his fall in prison, Sokol Basota. Similarly, Selimi had said that he did not know which one of the communiqués wrote one and the other. However, Basota denied writing these KLA communities.

I repeat that no communiqués have ever written. I don't know where this idea of Mr. Selimi to answer like that, but I'm saying again that I haven't written any communiqués. Then I wrote sometimes, for the opinion I had definitely accepted”, he said, adding that he himself had no role in dealing with communiques.

The Witnesses were later presented with a statement by Thaci in 2020 for the SPS, where, according to the judge, he had said in 96 it was Yasar Salihu responsible for the communiqués.

For Yasar Salih, I only heard after the war, it seems that it was at the Homeplace Fund in the West, but I don't have any extensive information of his commitment”, Basota said.

In addition, according to the judge after the arrest of Nat Hasani, Thaci had said he does not know exactly, but these functions in terms of communiqué have exercised two persons; Basota and Xhedin Gashi.

The next question to Thaci is this: Is there a role behind Nait Hhsan? Answer? If responsible, he was the leader of the Operational Staff in Kosovo. Question: 96? Answer; yes. Question? After Hasan's arrest in January 97, who was responsible for the communiqué? Basota confirmed that after the arrest of Nat Hasani, for a period in Kosovo it was only him and Xhedin Gashi, but that it was not taken with the communiqué itself.

The witness then returned back to the courtroom again with the question that remained in half after the transcript of Thaci's interview on the issue was read.

I'm being asked what these guys said, but I think it's more relevant what I say in the sense that this is about the first person and what I know. That's why I'm aware I'm saying it under oath, I didn't write the communiqués down to the last. So, the assumption they've given them doesn't know the reasons, but one might be a reason for the fact that I've been to Kosovo. The only members of Staff left in Kosovo. They may have referred to this, but I wrote out the communiqué that's never true”, Basota said.

In addition to Judge Mettraux, the witness was questioned by Judge Fergal Gaynor and Luke Misethic representing Thaci.

It is noteworthy that the testimony of this witness will continue on Thursday, where it is expected to end.
