Terrorist attack on Iber-Lepenc/ Special Prosecution: An 11 people were escorted at the weekend and weapons were found, investigations continued

The special prosecutor announced that in co-ordination with the police on Saturday, he conducted searches at several different locations in the Iber-Lepenci Canal section, where there was an explosion Friday night.

The raids, it said, resulted in 10 people associated with endangering constitutional order and terrorism.

The prosecution reported to “certain checks at various locations”, where it said “have been found and seized various weapons and other equipment”.

The Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo announces public opinion regarding the case taken on 29.11.2024 in the village of Varag in the municipality of Zubin Potok municipality, respectively, in the section of the “Iber Lepenciʹ, that in 30.11.2024, Kosovo Police, in co-ordination with the Special Prosecutor by the Special Prosecutor, has conducted several checks at different locations where various weapons and other equipment have been found and selected.

With this case at the police station, 10 persons suspected of criminal acts have been accompanied: “The threat of constitutional order with the destruction or damage of installations and public equipment”, by Article 122 related to criminal work “the chairmanship of terrorist activity”, by Article 129 par. 1 and Article 128 pars 1 under par. 1.8 of KPRK, “Keeping in control or unauthorized possession of weapons” from Article 366 par 2 related to par. One of KPRK.

By the prosecutor's decision, two of them, with the initial D.V. And D.M. From the Serb community, they have been detained where they are concerned about the person D.V. The request for the detention measure was filed, and the detention measure was appointed by the Court for 1 month, while the suspect D. M from the prosecution has been released in regular procedure.

Meanwhile, on December 1, 2024, with the verdict with the Prosecutor's Office, even suspect J.V of the Serb community, who was on the run over this criminal offence, has been detained. A considerable number of weapons and other equipment have been seized in the same house.

The investigative actions in this case are ongoing.
