Tahiri: We lost the Council of Europe because of the state leaders' jokes.

AAK parliamentary group chief Besnik Tahiri estimates that in the current format dialogue with Serbia is a failed process.
He speaks of the November 29th terrorist attack on the Iber Lepenci channel, the action of FKS in the north, as well as the upcoming February 9th 2025 parliamentary elections.
I see the December 17th meeting completely unnecessary. The dialogue in the format as it is happening has failed. It has failed to implement the obligations the states have made. In this case, Serbia has initially worked on undermining Kosovo into international organisations and has failed the government with its non-serious, not diplomatic and non-state approach. The picture was to be the only product of the December 17th meeting. So a picture between Mr. Bislim and Petkov. No benefits for Kosovo”, he has said.
Speaking of the November 29th terrorist attack in the country's north, Tahiri has said that the government has failed “the allies that Serbia stands behind this” attack.
This has failed in most elements that would have to strengthen Kosovo's sovereignty, it has failed. These tell the people of Kosovo that we have extended sovereignty in a courtyard of a municipality. We lost the Council of Europe because of the state leaders' experimentation and jokes. As it may be, the president, chief speaker and prime minister will write letters that we are accepting Association without obtaining membership in the Council of Europe”, he stressed.
Tahiri was also asked about the KSF intervention in the north and whether a new co-operation protocol is needed. He has said that building relations with NATO should take place much faster, through the action plan for direct NATO membership, which, according to him, envisions the AAK.
As for the February 9th elections, AAK MP chief Tahiri has said he expects opposition parties to win the electoral race, adding that forming the future government will not be an easy process.
I expect a result that will surprise all of Kosovo. I am convinced of this because I have been part of a four - year job but also of building this concept that has taken place in the Alliance. There is great disappointment for these four years. There is disappointment as the citizen is poorer, more uncertain, and the economy is weaker. The hope that has grown with the option altogether and right has remained only for LVV members, not for Kosovo citizens. I expect opposition parties to win the election race. I expect a negotiation process not easy to make the government. This will be seen. It wasn't easy after February 9th to form the government... Vetevendosje Movement does not win the elections. By failing to win the elections these will not be able to form the” government, it is over. / KP
