Syrian rebels proclaim 13-hour siege in Damascus

Syrian rebels have declared a 13-hour curfew in the capital city of Damascus.

The Syrian capital is witnessing a considerable presence of armed rebels and continuing festive shootings, CNN reports.

A message on Syrian state television earlier called on people not to take “to civilians by shooting guns in public squares.

Presidential palaces have also been looted, and heavy traffic has been reported to the capital.
