The Central Election Commission (KQZ) has not certified the Serbian List.
Following that decision, today the Serbian party has been declared -- namely, President Zlatan Ellek.
Responsible for annulment of the certificate, according to him, is Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
The theme is very serious for us. I want to confirm that yesterday the commission in Pristina did not approve the right of the Serbian List to participate in the February 9th elections. We believe that this was done by order of Albin Kurti, to gain political points”, he said.
Furthermore, Ellek stressed that this decision has no legal basis and that it is evidence of how much Kurti wants to eliminate Serbs from these threes.
Despite the illegal decision, I'll tell you why it was taken. It's pointed to me that I've used the term Kosovo and Metohija on spot. I think he's completely legal. On the spot I told Republic of Serbia”, he declared.
Srpska argued their opponent, Alexander Jablanovic, uses the same language.
“is not a violation of the law and there is no reason for this list to be eliminated from this election. The best example is Alexander Jablanovici's party, which uses this term like everyone else, but his list is confirmed”.
“During the day we will file complaints at PZAP and expect from them a clear decision that will reject this absurd, anti-Serb and undemocratic decision of [Albin] Kurti”, Serbian List Chairman Zlatko Ellek said at a news conference.
