Winter tourism or white tourism as reportedly is taking on rapid development in all the mountain areas of the Librazd municipality, since this area is very rich in them.
For several years mountain tourism in this municipality has become one of the most popular trends of not only Albanians but also foreigners who visit our country.
This year's winter has increased the trend of tourists to the mountain areas of Librazd. Since mid-November the snow has covered the mountains of this area and has turned into an excellent opportunity to enjoy and otherwise in the last days of 2024 through voyages or winter sports, fully enjoying the magnificent landscapes of the beautiful nature of the Mediterranean of the Bookyard, which has many destinations preferred for winter holidays. The perfect destination to experience fantastic adventures is the Sibenik National Park and the Maya of Kalkan, which has a height above sea level of 2,100 feet [2,100 m].
Here lies the favorite path of all tourists to begin on the outskirts of the Stablewe resort and through the forest mass of the hah through the Kalkan Valley, which runs up to six miles [6 km] in length. During December of this year's Shebenik National Park, there has been a great influx of daily visitors, but also groups of local and foreign tourists who have preferred to spend the weekend experiencing the fall of snow, as well as accommodation at the Fushe-Sudna resorts.
Of the official sources from the Sibenik National Park Administration, it is confirmed that from the beginning of November to December 10th of this year, there have been about 32,000 visitors from whom several thousand have been foreign tourists who, after the asphalt of the national Libred-Bulqiza road, circulate more easily towards the mountains and the Sibenik National Park.
Many of the foreign tourists during this beginning of winter prefer to cross the entire north-East road axis from Kukes to Korca via the road that passes through the mountain of Librazhd, mainly on engines, cars camping and cars of Road. At Sibenik National Park, from its geographic location, altitude above sea level and presence of large forest masses has a lot of snowfall, unlike some mountains of Europe where global warming has had its negative effect on falling snowfall. The frequent fall of heavy snow in the Sibenik National Park and the publication of photos or videos by visitors and adventure tourists who frequent this pearl of mountain tourism, Lucnja, Vlora, etc.
This has led many of the local businesses of the Stable Administrative Unit, especially on weekends, to be crowded. All domestic businesses have access to the delivery of local products and traditional local dishes, which are much preferred as fresh meat, cheese, breasts, milk, butter, honey,turity and many other healthy products. The snow - covered mountains and the Panoramic views of the Hill of Librazd are the main reason why hundreds of thousands of tourists are drawn to visit these destinations, but also to spend winter holidays there. The mountain area of Librazhd is turning into the preference of many Albanian families who choose adventures in snow to spend holidays unlike the usual, to family . A considerable number of tourists, in addition to the Sibenik National Park in the town of Librazhd, prefer Mount Gejra, White, Sopotin, Polis and Charles. /Balkanweb
