Specialist claims Thaci gave instructions from the cell at The Hague to influence witnesses, called group leaders

The Hague tribunal has published newly confirmed indictment Against former President Hashim Thaci, Hajredin Kuci, Isni Kilajt, Union Smajt and Fadil Fazliu. The five are accused of obstructing justice and affecting witnesses.

“HACI and Fadhil FAZIU also discussed how THACH instructions were given and agreed that Fadil's son Fahri Fazliu, FAZliu, contact witness 1 with the appointment of a meeting. Fadhil FAZIU and Fahri FAZIU had met earlier with witness 1 on June 2, 2023, after exchanging telephone messages on June 26, 2023. On July 3, 2023, Fahri FAZIU exchanged messages with witness 1 for organising a meeting between FAZIU'S FAZLY, Fadhil FAZULU and witness 1 later that day, in line with Hashim T's instructions HACIT for Fadhil BRAZIL”, states the indictment.

On September 3, 2023, Thaci was reportedly visited by Hajredin Kuci in The Hague. The Actakuz says that during this meeting, Thaci had given instructions to convey to the witness of the Special Prosecutor's Office about how each witness should testify.

On September 3, 2023, Hajredin KUCI visited Hashim T HACHIN at the detention center. Hajredin KUCI also confirmed that he had previously met witness 5 at least once to discuss witness testimony 5,”, written in the document published by the Special.

Also mentioned in the indictment is a meeting at Thaci's detention centre with the Smajan Union in September 2023, where the former Kosovo president reportedly provided confidential information and instructions regarding wishful thinking 2.

The specialist shows that Smakaj had also visited Thaci a month later, and that in the control of Smakaya's car, the SPS has found a document addressing the testimony issue expected to provide witness 2, with a version of the events consistent with the instructions Thaci had given at The Hague detention centre during September.

According to the Special, Thaci has acted the same way during his visit to Isni Kilaj at The Hague detention centre, giving instructions concerning witness 4. The specialist shows that during the search of Isni Kilajt residence on November 2, 2023, material containing confidential information from the Specialised Chambers and identifying records of protected witnesses, including witness names, were found.

During a search of Isni KILAY's residence on November 2, 2023, Z The SP found materials containing confidential information for the DHSK processes and identifying data of protected witnesses, including witness names.
