Justice Ehat Miftaraj has commented on Special Prosecutor's invitation to be interviewed in the quality of witness to Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
By means of a post in Facebook, Miftaraj says that the prosecution in principle within two years of acting should close the case if there is no evidence or standing up the indictment. So even the witness invitation can be viewed by this presentation.
He says that cases when the prime minister is invited even in the quality of the witness, the prosecution should inform the public until it does not violate the integrity of the investigation and the privacy of the procedure.
And adds that Kurti, based on applicable law in Kosovo, will be part of the election list.
The witness's “has no effect on the election process. LVV and opposition parties have jointly changed the law on elections. The only way that somehow participation in elections is limited is when he is sentenced to 1 year in effective prison. So Kurti under Kosovo's application law will be part of the” election list, the Facebook lawyer writes.
