The Democratic Party of Kosovo has reacted after today's developments related to the actions of Kosovo's Specialised Chambers.
The PDK, through a media report, stressed the importance of maintaining the highest standards of justice and impartiality, which are the cornerstone of the functioning of each judicial institution, including the Specialised Chambers.
However, the party's announcement reportedly created Specialised Chambers to ensure justice, based on European standards, and not to create public spectacles on its behalf.

PDK: We seek impartiality and full transparency
The Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) is following with concern recent developments related to the actions of Kosovo's Specialised Chambers.
The PDK emphasises the importance of maintaining the highest standards of justice and impartiality, which are the cornerstone of the functioning of each judicial institution, including the Specialised Chambers. We strongly believe that justice and impartiality are not only demands but conditions necessary for a fair and reliable process.
Specialised rooms were created to ensure justice, based on European standards and not to create public spectacles in its name. Any deviation from this mandate, through actions that can undermine the trust of citizens and the integrity of justice, we consider to be wrong.
It is essential that all processes developed by Specialised Chambers be based on full transparency and without overcoming their competencies.
The Kosovo Assembly has established Specialised Chambers with a specific and limited mandate to address the monstrous charges of Dick Marty's report.
How The PDK, we express our concern over the long delays and lack of transparency in judicial processes against former Kosovo Liberation Army leaders and senior state officials.
The PDK has supported the establishment of this court, with confidence and guarantees given by our allies that this court would function on clear principles of transparency and democracy. Every Kosovo citizen and each accused has the right to be treated without prejudice, with full impartiality and justice.
However, recent parameters from the protection of the four accused in the process have raised serious concerns about unfair treatment, concern over the violation of the barais principle and presumption of innocence.
We prefer that the Specialised Chambers fulfill their task with professionalism and impartiality, respecting fundamental principles of justice, human rights and rule of law.
