Earlier, Faton Klink from the Association of Kosovo Liberation Army Veterans ( The KLA's OVL said three people have been arrested, including former head of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency (AKI), the Smakaj Union, and the former head of the Malisheva municipality, Isni Kilaj.
The Special Court is continuing hunting against the KLA and freedom fighters”, he wrote on Facebook.
The SPS said its operations were authorised “from the judicial side by Kosovo Specialised Chambers (DHSK) and supported by the European Union for Rule of Law in Kosovo (EULEX)”.
She added that operations are under way over allegations of obstructing justice.
Smaj Union had led AKI from 2009 until 2015, when he resigned shortly after being appointed to his second term.
Meanwhile, Isni Kilaj was arrested for the first time in November 2023 under suspicion of criminal acts involving obstruction of justice and was released on bail in May of this year after paying a bail of 30,000 euros.
