Kosovo customs has announced it has prevented a case of smuggling goods from northern Macedonia to Kosovo, where it has seized goods without any documents for origin.
During tactical checks and field operations at the border belt RKS-MMV in the area bordering the municipality of the Year, the Customs Unit reportedly has banned two transport vehicles with local license plates with Kosovo citizens leading.
“During their control, commercial goods smuggled from the RMV for which goods had no document on their descent”, the report says.
The Customs Unit has also reportedly conducted raids at a Pristina depot, the property of suspects.
“From the upper units has also been conducted in Pristina in the warehouse of suspects where they have been encountered, various commercial goods without background and without relevant documentation. The goods are seized and sent to the customs terminal, where for further proceedings on the case. The market value of goods is over 30,000m without counting customs evasion”, the announcement said.
