The date of next year's parliamentary elections in Albania has been set.
The presidency institution through an announcement announced that the elections would be held on 11 May.
For these elections, the president of the Republic had four days of Sunday between April 15th and May 15th 2025.
Also, according to the presidency, the key reason for the appointment of May 11th 2025 as the date for holding these elections lies in the need expressed by the CEC to use all the time available to prepare legal and organisational infrastructure in order to enable successful voting and the results of Albanians from abroad”.
We remember that some of the opposition parties had rejected May 11th and had demanded that the elections be held on May 4th, for some reasons they had also submitted at the meeting with the president.
