Rohde distributes Kalla's post: As Chancellor Scholz has said only recognised candidates can enter the EU

Rohde has stressed Kallas's statement, where he said the only way towards Kosovo and Serbia's membership in the EU is through normalisation of the reports between them, under the Ohrid Agreement.
The German ambassador has said that exactly as Germany's Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, had said during a visit to the region in 2022, recalling his statement that only the candidates who recognise each other could enter the EU.

Kallas has said he will work for the Western Balkan region, “in order to move forward on a path with the enlargement process, which benefits the EU and those countries. And the other way is to try to seriously reduce existing tensions so that we can move forward in dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade, where I am willing to invest my”
After the meeting, Kurti said he has discussed the issue of Kosovo's European integration with Kallas and reports with neighbouring Serbia. For Kallas is “in the right time and in the right place”.
“We have high expectations that Kosovo that the Western Balkans region will benefit greatly in terms of European, democratic values, economic and financial support and peace and security at large”, Kurti said after the meeting.
He added that he has asked new European Commission structures to insist on implementing the Agreement on the way towards normalising reports with Serbia and not forget this agreement every time the dialogue is mentioned.
He also said he informed Kallas of the investigation into the recent attack on the Iber-Lepenci Canal.
