I am so glad that we have similarly opened new chapter between Albania, as mother and Diaspora. Early diaspora, the new diaspora. Our governing programme of this mandate, there is a special part dedicated to Diaspora. A quick transition of what has been done shows that a base has been laid on which much more to build. When we took office, it was a desert in the relationship between the state and the diaspora, an institutional establishment.
More than that, the starting point from which we took this journey was depressing, the distance between the state and its citizens abroad, even for the smallest thing, was enormous. We built a process, strategy, and today we're in terms of operating with the diaspora national strategies, we have state co-ordinators for the diaspora, we have an organization that gets its most meaningful view on this table.
The diaspora remains significant support even in the direct financial aspect of the country... We are today with our heads up in front of Albanians abroad even for one reason that it is already a closed diaspora vote”, Rama said.
