Prosecutor Wants Sentence of Former Leposavic, Other Indictees

Prosecutor Bina-Rugova, in the final address, stated that following the administration of evidence and hearing of witnesses, it has been proven that the accused committed criminal acts described as in the indictment. He demanded that the same be punished in accordance with the law.

While lawyer Rame Gashi, Jablanovac's defender, considered the prosecutor's final word unequivocal and sought his defense's release.

Jablanovic supported his lawyer by claiming he is not guilty.

I don't feel guilty at all, because I haven't committed any criminal acts”, Jablanovic said.

Lawyer Ekrem Salihu, defender of the accused Bata, said the guilt of his defense was not proven and sought his release. Bata herself declared that she has no connection with the criminal group and has always acted in accordance with the law.

Lawyer Florent Latifaj, defender of accused Ackovic, rejected the charges, calling them groundless and sought the release of his defender. Ackovic also supported his lawyer.

Lawyer Xhafer Tahiri, defender of the accused Haxhiu, said he hopes the Court will bring a free trial.

Even lawyer Avdi Dinaj, Aleksandar Kostic's defender, sought his release, due to lack of evidence. Kostiqi upheld his lawyer's word.

Lawyer Gerta Ragip, defender of Cedomir Timothyevic, noted that during the final address, the prosecutor never mentioned her client.

And Mensur Rama's defender, lawyer Lutfi Tahiri, objected to the legality of the evidence, claiming they were taken before the decision was issued to start the investigation. The accused Rama backed his lawyer.

Lawyers Imer Bata, Ahmet Arifi, Agim Lushtaj and Kimete Krasniqi, representing accused Xhemajl Ferizi, Haki Haxhiu, Miroslav Ivanoviqi and Ivan Cadiqi, said they stand behind the final words delivered in writing.

Noble lawyer Sogojevo, representative of Nijazi Musliu, sought his release due to lack of evidence. Musliu declared himself innocent.

Lawyers Arianan Koci and Faruk Korenica, defender of indictees Milovanovic and Banovic, argued that prosecutor Bina-Rugova's final word was only a description of the indictment. The accused supported the words of their defenders.
