Profiling Who is Nexhami Rexhepi, the new chairman of the Constitution

They have made it known by the Constitutional Court.

In reporting to the media, the Constitution has suggested that the new president's mandate will begin on December 31st of this year.

But who is Judge Nedhmi Rexhepi?

Rexhepi was elected judges at the Kosovo Constitutional Court in August 2018, at the time when our country was ruled by the PAN coalition.

In 2001 he had completed his studies at the Faculty of Jurydical at the University of Pristina, and later his master's studies were continued at the University of Sarajevo and Bologna, in the field of human rights, until the doctorate's studies followed.

After research, Judge Rexhepi had started his professional career at the District Court in Pristina, to continue teaching later at the Department of Criminal Sciences at the University of Pristina Faculty of Jurydic.

Judge Nexmi Rexip was a member of Kosovo's representative team at the International Court of Justice, as well as former ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo in Slovenia at the time of the rule of the Democratic League of Kosovo, LDK.

On 9 August 2018, Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, then appointed some of the judges of the Constitutional Court, among them Judge Nexmi Rexhepi.

Rexhepi, along with the other judges, has been appointed to this position in the nine-year term without a right to reappointed, writes news.net.

Judges Rexhepi, currently in the past few years until his mandate ends. As real estate, Judge Rexhepi has declared property worth over 200 thousand euros. A house covered by 200 square meters, and another 660 square feet [660 sq m], wealth he has claimed to share with his family.

As a playful asset, the judge has even declared a car worth 22 thousand euros.

Under annual revenues, the judge has declared over 38 thousand euros.
