Kurti, during a discussion with AUK students, has declared that KLA leaders are being held unjustly at The Hague Special Court.
He has said, however, that their defence should be one, not each one's own lawyer.
And I've tried, where this process had begun, I've proved that the entire council of defense does it together because I believe I protected Hashim Thaci, Kadri, Veselin, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi would have been united (one): they should have had one, not four, not each have their own”, Kurt said.
Kurt further said lawyers want their client released, and that's a risk of blaming each other.
Don't get me wrong, the problem with lawyers is that all of them want their client released, they don't feel what happens to other people so, somehow, by having each of them prisoners, the heads of the NLA, the defense body created this opportunity for someone to play (tttyua throw) with their own defense”, Prime Minister Kurti said further.
In fact, according to the prime minister, there would have to be more political protection than legal protection.
It's a bit of a long story about how we got here; but I really think the defense should have been with our people, and I don't think it would have to be such a long law protection, but it should have been much more political protection”, Prime Minister Kurti stressed.
Kurt had been asked and criticised earlier for failing to respond to developments at The Hague Special Court.
