Former President Jimmy Carter's death, U.S.A., proclaims January 9th national mourning day

“I call on the American people to gather this day at their places of worship to honour the memory of President James Earl Carter Jr. I invite those around the world who share our grief to join us in this solemn commemoration”, outgoing President Joe Biden said.
The former US president died at his home in Plains, where he was born in Georgia.
Carter, the winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, became the 39th president of the United States in 1977 and 1981.
In 2002 he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for His Work to Avoid World Conflicts
