Kosovo Police members have raided the facilities this morning in which the Directorate for Building Earth and the Directorate for Local Affairs in Northern Mitrovica, which are parallel institutions and have been operating with the neighbouring state system.
The Serbian portal “kosovoonline” reports that around 70 employees of these institutions have left the facility.
Kosovo Police Deputy Commander for the Northern Region Veton Elshani has declared that Kosovo Police have received a report from the North Mitrovica municipality that the object in which the offices of these parallel institutions are located is objects belonging to the North Mitrovica municipality.
When we came here we found workers and we suspect there was a parallel institution. Along with the prosecutor, the police are on the scene, and for the time being, we are treating it as extracting forged documents. We talked to the workers and they could take their belongings. This object is now under police control and prosecution until second announcement”, Elshani has said.
