Kosovo police, with the aim of providing as secure and calm a climate based on its duties stemming from its legal authorisations, as in the past over the previous years, will make sure that all of its mechanisms are carried out so that, in terms of order and public security, the holiday ends pass smoothly and without incident.
In order to manage the security situation during this period, Kosovo Police have drafted the operational plan “The end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025”, where the commitment of additional KP personnel has been seen through this plan, with increased police presence in the streets and in open spaces, in squares and locations where there is greater citizens' attendance and thus possible prevention and combating different criminal phenomena and acts.
Kosovo police have envisioned the undertaking of precautionary measures with the addition of police presence throughout the Republic of Kosovo, including sensitive areas, especially in places with mixed populations, in addition to taking legal measures to possible illegal acts and fighting negative phenomena that could cause instability in any measure that endangers order, calm and public safety.
Under this operational plan, there will be increased vigilance and presence of various police units on the street, in order to monitor road traffic in order to be affected by the prevention of road accidents as well as possible incidents in traffic, while simultaneously appealing to all legal provisions, traffic signs, to abide by road conditions, and not to turn on vehicles under the influence of alcohol.
Kosovo police appeal to all citizens, and particularly to parents/guards, to be attentive to preventing the irregular use of pyrotechnic tools (excessive fireworks) from children, in order to avoid the risk that may be caused by these means because their non-accidents can bring serious consequences.
Kosovo police vow to take all relevant legal actions, wherever they note weapons or other illegal means have been used that endanger the safety of citizens.
