The plane was transporting passengers from Azerbaijan's capital, Baku, to Grozny in Russia when it fell and was set on fire.
crew members reportedly have lost their signal in an area where Russia has often activated air protection systems against Ukrainian fears. Some, including the Flightdar24 flight tracking service, said the pilots were subject to GPS deadlock near Grozny.
Kazakhstan's Transport Ministry is currently investigating the plane crash amid Russia's claims that a bird caused the fatal accident and is urging people not to formulate hypothesiss on the incident.
It would be wrong to build any hypothesis before the investigative panel submits its conclusions,” said a Kremlin spokesman.
