Persistent police commitments result from a suspected police suspect

Kosovo police (PK), following terrorist criminal attacks in the country's north, with 26.11,2024 attacks on the police station in Zvecan, with 28.11.2024 attacks on the municipality's object in Zvecan, as well as the latest attack on 29.11.2024 on critical infrastructure in the water channel Iber Lepenci, has continued with the realisation of its constitutional and legal duties, applying additional measures in the interest of preventing such criminal acts, maintaining and public order and offering security to all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo without any distinction.
The security situation in the north of the country is currently deemed calm, but as we've repeatedly revealed it is a fragile situation, transmitted by cases of various criminal natures, such as the latest case of the terrorist criminal attack on critical infrastructure in the water channel, and for this continue additional KK measures.
In continuation of investigations into the case of terrorist attacks on critical infrastructure, but also preliminary cases, from relevant investigative units, in co-operation with other police units, with the date of 01/12-2024 in the evening, a suspect (J.V.) has also been arrested, under suspicion that he may have played a significant role in the framework of the group responsible for the terrorist attack on critical infrastructure.
In full co-ordination and co-ordination with the Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo, the search has been implemented at the house where the suspect lived, with the cases sequential evidence and material evidence, as follows:
• Four (4) Hand grenades
• One (1) Hunting rifle
• Over 500 pieces of ammunition from different calibres
• Two (2) AK-47 automatic gun cartators
• A (1) long rifle clip
• A (1) Radio connection
• One (1) Delbi pal
• A (1) camouflage camera
• Military Unit and
• Various documents
At the order of the Special Prosecutor's acting prosecutor, the suspects have been assigned a 48-hour police detention measure.
Kosovo police remain committed to engaging in the full dawn of the case and to bringing responsible persons to justice. Once Kosovo police call on all citizens to co-operate with the Kosovo Police in order to provide security to all citizens indiscriminately.
