Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislim has reacted after the chairman of the PDK Parliamentary Group, Abelard Tahiri, has announced that the 20 laws adopted last week at the Kosovo Assembly will be sent to the Constitutional Court.
Bislimi has said that the PDK's “announcement that the 20 laws adopted last Thursday at the Assembly session will send to the Constitutional Court, proves clearly that this is not only their means of trying to prevent the momentum of advancement and development of the state, but also that they are threatened by a developing state making progress”.
“Among the 20 laws adopted on December 5th are three key laws for the country's financial development, which pave the way for the membership of the Republic of Kosovo in the Individual European Tax Zone (SEPA)”, wrote Bislimi in a Facebook post.
Bislimi says it is about the Law for Banks, Law for Tax Services and the Law to prevent money laundering and fighting terrorism. “Lugs are ahead to bring more financial transparency to the country, closer to the European Union market, as well as tangible benefits for citizens”.
SEPA membership will bring and a decrease in the cost of cross-border payments by 55m euros annually. They are a major relief for families who accept money from relatives abroad and for businesses operating with international partners. So the PDK is aiming to harm citizens and businesses at the cost of at least 55m euros directly annually”.
He has further said that the “part of the last session, which the PDK is aiming to send to the Constitutional Court, is also the State Bureau for Verification and Confiscating of Unjustified Riches, which the PDK is already sending for the second time to Constitution”.
“What it has to do with financial transparency, it undermines the PDK. What it has to do with lowering costs for businesses and citizens undermines the PDK. What it's about advancing the state, hinders the PDK at”, Bislimi wrote.
