Osman and Kurte express condolences for former US president Jimmy Carter's death

The country's president, Vjosa Osmani, and Prime Minister Albin Kurti have expressed their condolences about the life-long separation of former President of the United States Jimmy Carter.

Osmani, through a post on the social network “X”, praised President Carter's life and work as an inspiring model of leadership.

President Carter showed the world that leadership is commitment, compassion and a steadfast belief in humanity. He devoted his life to peace, equality, and improvement in the lives of all. Our thoughts are with his family, as we join our American friends to honor his legacy”, Osman wrote.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Kurti, also through a post at “X”, expressed condolences to Carter's family and the American people.

On behalf of the Government and People of the Republic of Kosovo, I express my deepest condolences to President Jimmy Carter's family and the American people on their day of separation from life. A century after its humble beginnings in a working family in Plains, Georgia, President Carter leaves behind a magnificent legacy in the service of human rights and prosperity, both in the United States and beyond. May Kurti rest in peace”
