The Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the establishment has been homazhe at the grave of historic President Ibrahim Rugova.
The chairman of this party, Lumir Abdixhiku, also the candidate for prime minister, said he honours all figures and contributors.
“Today we honor and remember December 23rd of 1989, so the date 35 years ago, the largest national movement for freedom, independence and democracy, founded the Democratic League of Kosovo, and at the start of this relationship, the architect of the Republic of Kosovo itself, the historic president, Dr. Ibrahim Rugova, to whom we paid tribute today at this 35th anniversary .”, Abdixhiku said.
We consider all images and contributors to this great house of democracy as well as recall the need for, in historic moments, the LDK and the right and Rugovism to become together and create new moments towards the Euro-Atlantic future”, he said.
This new moment comes to us in the next February 9th elections and we are happy with the historic moment that is the LDK, but also with the great history we've marked for those five years.”, he said.
