Medge: Artan Grubi is in Albania, not Kosovo

Albanian Deputy Prime Minister in Northern Macedonia Izet Mexhiti has said that Artan Grubi, former deputy prime minister of the RMV from the ranks of the Democratic Union for Integration, recently declared no-greed by the United States of America, is on the run in Albania and not in Kosovo, as agreed days ago. “
“I think it's a duty of law bodies, they will make international lawsuits through Interpol. According to information, it's not in Kosovo, but it's in you in Albania. But it's not that important, but with his escape he has testified to his guilt and therefore fled the country. I think today, tomorrow, or tomorrow he will one day face justice”, Medzit said in News hour.
Grubi, who entered the US blacklist for corruption, has denied leaving the country, saying he is abroad “for a private visit”. He added that he has even informed his personal police security about this visit.
Northern Macedonia's Ministry of Internal Affairs published on December 18th international arrests issued for Grubin and the former director of State Lottery, Progress Bajrami. These warrants were issued at the request of the Public Prosecution and based on the Constitutional Court's ruling, which on December 17th decided the 30-day detention measure for suspects.
Grubi and Bajrami are charged with embezzlement “of illegal property” by State Lottaria, while the damage caused is estimated to be around 8.2m euros.
Grubi, former deputates, now former DUI member, in opposition, risks being sentenced to prison for up to five years if convicted.
