The prime minister, Mamadou Owry Bah, said a mess at the event led to a number of victims Sunday and called for calm.
A doctor told the AFP news agency that there were several “bodies listed” at the local hospital and the morgue was full.
Local media said police used tear gas as visitors' supporters, Labe, threw stones at the field in anger at the referee.
