According to foreign media, information from the American media, citing people with knowledge of the investigation, speaks of a targeted attack (attents).
Brian Thompson, 50, was shot shortly after 6:45 a.m. at the local time, according to the police report, at 6th Avenue and specifically at the New York Hilton Midtown Hotel, reports CNN.
He was then sent to Mount Sinai West Hospital in critical condition, but unfortunately he could not survive.
The officers are still searching for the attackers, who fled east on foot along 6th Avenue. He wore a creamy jacket, a black mask for his face, and a gray backpack.
Police believe Thompson was the target of the attack, which took place during the annual Security Investors Conference in New York.
