Media lawyer Butter Kosari has reacted to the murder threat to journalist Berat Buzhala.
She has said that if the prime minister or ministers were threatened, the person would be in custody.
Full Posting:
You know, if this man who threatened Berat had threatened the prime minister, the justice minister, ah don't master him, the minister of internal affairs, so far, the person would have been in custody. Of course, his arrest would be accompanied by additional security measures against the threatened politician.
But since in Kosovo a standard set is used for the safety of politicians and another side for the safety of journalists and activists, the person is still free in space and undisturbed in his dailyity.
So the message is clear: attack journalists so fear the law because they serve Serbia.
And the result is the decline for 19 countries in the country's index of media freedom.
