During his visit to Sarajevo, he held separate meetings in the Bosnian Presidency with Croatian member Zelko Komsic and Bosniak Denis Becirovic.
I thank the prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, for the decision to abolish the visa regime for the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina. We appreciate such an extraordinary unilateral step and, therefore, unusual. The move will certainly contribute to the best connection of the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo, as well as to increasing bilateral trade exchanges”, Komsic wrote on Facebook after meeting with Kurti.
Kurti began visiting Sarajevo on 5 December and during her stay in Bosnia will also give a speech at a conference for regional reports organised by the “Association of Independent Intellectuals Krug 99”.
Kosovo Prime Minister Zhelja Cijanovic did not hold a meeting with the Serbian member of Bosnia and Herzegovina's presidency.
Komsic said the alleged criticisms over Kurti's visit and the meetings he has in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which come from the entity of Republika Srpska (RS), as well as from the region, “me remember that RS is not subject to international law and that RS has no competence for issuing visas for entry into Bosnia and Herzegovina”.
He added that the criticisms coming from the countries of the region are considered as another clear test of efforts to deny Bosnia and Herzegovina's sovereignty and as pressure on our country's sovereign bodies and institutions in leading foreign policy.
“also, Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency members will certainly not ask either [Serb leader in Bosnia, Milorad] Dodik, not everyone else, who we're going to meet and what we're going to discuss.” / REL/
