Krasniqi has said he has personally lobbied in Brussels to seek the removal of measures -- a task that, according to him, the Government of Kosovo has failed to meet.
Header The PDK in Dukaagjini criticised the current government for lack of concrete actions in this direction.
I can tell them today with full conviction and pledge: with a government led by the PDK, we will remove sanctions for several months. I've personally lobbied since they were set up. If (former EU Enlargement Commissioner) Várhely was one of the main people who has pushed these measures forward. Nor Kurti, nor Gervalla, nor Bislim and no other government official has met him to demand the removal of the measures. I've only met him. It wasn't my responsibility, since I'm in the opposition. But I took this initiative, went to the meeting and stayed an hour in his office. I told him I should help remove the measures, because they're a mistake, and I'm convinced of that. I believe with the new composition of the European Commission and changes to the Council, The PDK will play the key role in removing EU sanctioning measures”, Krasniqi has said.
