In its response, OEK has stressed that Kosovo's Constitution guarantees the presumption of innocence for all individuals, and that it is the responsibility of competent judicial bodies to address and decide on any legal issue.
Any intervention or public judgment by certain individuals, for personal reasons or other interests, is unacceptable and undermines the image of businesses,” said in response.
OEK has noted the importance of local businesses in bringing international investment and creating jobs in Kosovo.
The baseless accusations and stains, according to OEK, could negatively affect Kosovo's image and cause the removal of potential investors.
“Businesses sometimes face the justice system, but in each case they are recognized the right to presumption of innocence and the opportunity to prove their right to the court. The same should be respected in Kosovo,” has declared OEK.
In conclusion, the Kosovo Economic Oda has demanded that legal issues be addressed only by relevant justice bodies, committed to protecting business interests and creating a fair and favourable environment for economic activity in the country.
OEK has stressed that support for businesses is essential for maintaining economic stability and promoting new investments.
