LDK chief Lutfi Haziri, about two hours ago announced that the gynians have been without power for nearly 30 hours, while the KOSST, through a Facebook text, says the suspension was necessary because of changing equipment.
“Power supply in Gjilan has been restored after completion of operations at 110 kV assets in the Gjilan substation 1. The works, which included changing equipment, have been carried out under the KED's investment plan to improve and modernise the power grid.
The supply cuts were necessary and exclusively linked to these works carried out by KED, as part of efforts to ensure a more stable and efficient supply for consumers”, the KOSST said.
During the past week reductions have been reported through several Kosovo municipalities, with Fushe Kosovo, Malisheva and Ferizaj, some of the most affected countries. The reason for the reductions is the load of the network, since demand for electricity has increased significantly this month. KEK's production capacity is about 700 MWh, as demand runs through 1400 MWh.
