Koci spoke of the Kuci case, which faces two counts of disobedience to the tribunal.
We don't have enough documents, we don't have enough information to give a final thought, but I'm first limited to Hajredin Kuci, who I have as well as a friend, and I think very well of him, and he's one of the best lawyers in Kosovo. He is suspected, therefore, of having confirmed the indictment, that in two cases he has committed a violation of court commands”, he said.
The lawyer said Hajredin Kuci's “has the maximum sentence of six months”.
So it can (be punished) with money and six months (prison). For this crime I do not know any case that someone has gone to jail in Kosovo, because this is now under Kosovo's penal code. Hajredin's work, therefore, is up to six months' maximum (prisonment) and the likelihood is almost existable for him to be sentenced to prison if eventually proven his guiltyness”, Koci said in T7.
He said he is convinced that Kuci “will be released”.
The act set up in which Kuci is included claims criminal acts were committed against justice administration during privileged visits to The Hague detention facility between former President Hashim Thaci and other accused persons. Former head of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency, Bashkim Smaj, former head of Malisheva, Isni Kilaj and Fadil Fazliu, brother of martyrs Bahri and Fahri Fazliu are also involved in this indictment.
