He has commemorated that Serbia is hindering the realisation of this plan, which is also mentioned in the European Commission's 2024 Progress Report.
In the Progress Report for Serbia, in the chapter on minority rights, The EC, in addition to the issue of passiveisation, hate speech, places particular emphasis on the position of sub-representing Albanians in public administration and police.
The EC in this case requires immediate action in meeting the “Action Plan for the integration of Albanians”, but despite that, minorities remain under-represented in public administration and police.
The “is referring to a document signed between the Albanian National Council, in charge of Ragmi Mustaf, the OSCE, and the Human Rights Ministry, supported by the EU delegation in Serbia and the Council of Europe, where the steps of full integration of Albanians in public administration and police in the period 2022, 2026, whose implementation, not now, at the end of 2024, has not been initiated <x1, Kamberi recalls.
Kamberi has added, however, that when it comes to taking concrete action on the ground, the Serbian government acts in opposition to these recommendations. The latest case concerns the Serbian Court for Opposing in Presevo, at which a Serbian judge has been appointed, ignoring Albanian judges.
“at the November 28th session of this year, at the head of the Presevo Criminal Court, the municipality with over 95 % Albanians, the High Judicial Council in Serbia, nominated Alexandra Kuznovo, thus marginalising Albanian Frameworks.
The municipal court in Presevo has expired in 2011, under the reform of the judiciary by the motto “Justice nearest citizens. It is noteworthy that in Presevo, as well, the task director of the Health House two years ago has been appointed a doctor from the Serb community who makes up only 3% of the population of this municipality”, the Camber post concludes.
