US, EU and German concern for the non-servation of List Srpska by the Central Election Commission for the February 9th elections has joined the Italian Embassy in Kosovo.
In an X response, Italy's embassy says the CEC is the vital institution that is responsible for protecting the political rights of Kosovo citizens.
“We express concern over the CEC's decision not to certificate Republika Srpska List candidates for the upcoming elections. We believe that rule of law will govern this vital institution, which is responsible for protecting the political rights of all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo”, the embassy said.
The Republika Srpska list was not certified as Vetevendosje representatives voted against the argument that this party does not refer to Kosovo by the official name, but as “Kosovo and Metohia”.
