The former Kosovo prime minister and LDK deputy candidate, Avdullah Hoti, has spoken of the energy crisis facing the country. Hoti has said that Kurti Government for four years government has built no new power capacity, while the gas project that was rejected would already be operational.
Hoti has also commented on the statement by COST head, who said the shipment to the network is coming because of economic development. The LDK MP says that now when the country is facing a lack of energy, the disabled can do only elaborate statements.
Full response:
Four years in government. No new power capacity was built. The gas project was canceled, which would be functional today.
Now when faced with a lack of energy in winter, these disabled people only know how to make informed statements that: “there is no lack of energy, but there are overloads”, “overload is coming due to economic development” etc. You can imagine that economic development occurs only in winter, not in summer.
When the economy minister asked for energy reductions, she answers that she has filed citizens' complaints in KED, as if it were official for citizens' complaints, rather than the minister responsible for the strategic development of the energy sector.
If the construction of the gas power plant were to begin over time, we would now have at least 200 megawatts of energy to cover the energy demand, which is being massively used for heating.
