The ambassador of the United States of America to Kosovo, Jeffrey Hovenier, who ends the mandate these days, has named the mission in Kosovo the greatest honour in his diplomatic service career.
“has been the greatest honour in my career and the brightest point of almost 35 years and a half years of diplomatic service that I have been able to serve as US ambassador to the Republic of Kosovo. As you know, in my career I've had the opportunity to work on Kosovo issues from time to time and for many years and to have the opportunity to come to the end of my career as an American ambassador and experience this place at this moment in its history and be a small part of that story has really been an honor and privilege”, said Havener at “Rubikon<x> of Kosovo.
Hovenier said what he most likes from Kosovo are young people and young people with whom Kosovo will have a bright future, Klankosova broadcasts.tv.
I've really deliberately tried to visit as many universities, schools and youth gatherings as possible. And I did this because they're pretty impressive. They're smart, they're ambitious, they're humble, they're capable. They are all people who grew up in the post-conflict era, so nobody is privileged, but want to get the best for themselves and their country. And obviously they can do something like that. I mean, I really liked the time I spent with them and I think the future is very, very bright with the younger generation...”, Houvenier said.
