Alliance for the Future of Kosovo Chairman Ramush Haradinaj has declared that if he takes the lead in the government after the February 9th elections, he will immediately hand over the (European) drafttatus of the Serb majority municipalities to the Constitutional Court.
Haradinaj stressed that international dynamics and global security developments do not allow delays in the process.
He voiced conviction that the Constitutional Court, such as the “Guardian of the Constitution”, will clear every draft of association from any element that may be contrary to the country's Constitution.
In the first week of government, if I'm head of government, I hand over the Association to the Court. This draft that exists today. Not another one. I don't insist on a new draft, I don't need time. I don't get into negotiations again. Because as you know, the world is a very fast dynamic. Due to security developments, due to the new administration in America. So nobody's got time to prepare something with you. I believe in our Constitutional Court, which will clear up any element that is no constitutional, since she is the guardian of the constitution, is the court, not the politics”, Haradinaj said at Debat Plus.
He stressed that this step would unblock Kosovo's integration processes in international organisations like the Council of Europe, the European Union and NATO.

In line with that, Haradinaj mentioned he has been actively working on it, saying a concrete proposal is already on the Trump administration table and has received a positive response.
I've worked that the future decision-makers of the Trump Administration, a concrete proposal I've sent to the table. It's on the table. They're in. They're welcome. All that we discuss today, I've been forced back into written forms, precisely providing guarantees that I'm behind. In some cases I have spoken on behalf of the future Kosovo government, I believe we have been together”, Haradinaj has added.
