The Hague Special Prosecutor raises new charges against Hashim Thaci, issues calls for Hajredin Kuci

The Specialised Prosecutor “> (ZPS) has pressed charges against Hashim T HACIT for criminal acts of obstruction of justice, according to a confirmed Actpad.Z. Thaci was at the Kosovo Specialised Chambers' Pre-prison facility when he was handed over a warrant and three counts of obstructing official persons in carrying out official duties have been filed, three counts of violations of the procedure's secrecy, and four counts of contempt against the tribunal, the report said.

The specialist has announced Thaci will appear before a Kosovo Specialised Chamber Pre-Procedure Judge over charges of additional criminal acts filed against him.

“ZPS has also arrested SMAKAYN Union, Isni KILYN and Fadil FAZIUN in Kosovo under a warrant for arrest and transfer order issued by a Kosovo Specialised Chamber Pre-Procedure Court for attempting to prevent official persons from performing official duties and disobeying the tribunal.

Gentlemen Smaj, Kilaj and Fazliu have been transferred to the pre-meditation facility of Kosovo's Specialised Chambers in The Hague, and will be presented to the tribunal without unlawful delay.

Hajredin KUCIT has been issued a call for presentation before the Specialised Chambers, which has filed against him two counts of defiance of the court.

The European Union for Rule of Law mission in Kosovo (EULEX) gave the SPS operational and logistical support, and Kosovo Police provided operational support.

The SPS takes obstruction of justice extremely seriously and will continue to investigate and prosecute all those involved in the event”, the announcement stressed.
