The EU offered Albania over 500m euros in financial assistance in the 1920s2024

While stating this fact, the Union's publishing service recalls that it was only in the 1920 ' s,2024 Albania has benefited over 500m euros in financial and technical assistance under the IPA III.
The up-to-date publication of early December shows that irreversible assistance belongs to the Energy Support Package and exactly 80m euros. Over 30m euros have been support for improving environmental protection and development of the surrounding, comprehensive and gender economy, as well as sustainable green growth in Albania.
Within the same support the European Union determines the 115m-euro fund for rehabilitation, construction of schools and cultural facilities after the 2019 earthquake. Meanwhile, the Western Balkans' Economic Investment Plan identifies 10 major investments in sustainable transport, clean energy, environment, climate, digital future, human capital and private sector. The goal was to support the digital green transition, as well as bringing the region closer to the EU common market.
For projects in Albania, the European Union calls attention to the fact that since 2020 it has mobilised 1.4 billion euros, thanks to 600m euros in grants from it. The funds are collected through instruments such as the investment framework for the Western Balkans.
The balance of these figures, but according to the EU, is currently jointly construction of renewable energy generation capacities 713 MW, installing 185 restored railway lines, improved water and sewer services for over 975 thousand people, etc. /rtsh
