The decisions Kurt Government made at this year's latest meeting

 The government of the Republic of Kosovo under the direction of Prime Minister Albin Kurti has held the last meeting for 2017 today, where they have made a number of decisions.

Kurti at the beginning of this meeting spoke of problems with electricity and counted what he said to be “the success” and also asked the ministers to show citizens the 5 successes they achieved during 2024.

Decisions made at meetings today:

The decision was adopted to share once-in-a-year extensions worth 100 euros to children 0-16 and retirees.

Aprovated the Procesverbal and Transcrypt Act from the meeting: 233 and the co-operation extracts from the meetings: 236 and 237 electronic/commercisors of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo.

Aprovated the regulation for organising and functioning of the National Co-ordinator's Office for Protection From Family Violence, Violence Against Women and Violence on the Gender Base, and the functioning of the Interministerial Co-ordination Group. This regulation, as one of the National Strategy for Protection from Family Violence and Violence on Women, aims to ensure better co-ordination between institutions and to ensure effective implementation of policies and measures envisioned for protection from domestic violence and violence against women.

Change and Fulfill Decision No. 18/ 208 of June 13th 2024, for implementation of international sanctions on the part of the Republic of Kosovo in relation to international obligations, to individuals and related entities or responsible for actions that undermine and threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine. In line with the European Union Council's implementation decisions and in line with the European Union's positions, about co-ordination for the implementation of international sanctions on Russia's invading war in Ukraine; the approval of austerity measures on individuals related or responsible entities undermining and threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine is recommended.

Adopted the preliminary decision on expropriation for public interest in real estate for the needs of the Customs Terminal in Merdare. Customs terminals continue to return to the state and benefit everyone.

Adopted the decision on changes to the rules of origin under the verdicts of the Pan-European-Mediterranean Origin Rules Convention. These proposed changes are a strategic opportunity to expand exports, improve local industry competitiveness and attract new investments. At the same time, they strengthen regional economic integration and help create stable supply chains.

Agreeed to request from the president of the Republic of Kosovo the granting of authorship to the Ministry of Industry, Undertaking and Trade, for signing the Interstate Agreement with Iceland, Liechtenstein Principate, Norway Kingdom and the Swiss Confederacy, which represent the Swiss Intergovernmental Organisation for Free Trade. EFTA. Signing this agreement is an important step towards advancing economic and trade relations between the Republic of Kosovo and the EFTA member states. From this agreement, local companies will benefit, who will be able to increase their exports by having free access to the EFTA markets.

Overcoming the Integrated Waste Management Strategy in the Republic of Kosovo 2024-2013 and Action Plan 2024-26. The strategy aims to achieve recycling of 50% of waste by 2035 and reducing storage below 10% by 2045. By this strategy, waste management is transformed from recycling and reuse, therefore by creating jobs, preserving the environment and supporting the country's sustainable development.
